Hi All
Well what a day,I said to Ryk,the Championship will come down to who finishes, and where,i was unlucky that i striped ist gear in the Ist 5 minute final, but lucky for me we had another 10 minute final, which i came second i think, and that was enough for me to take the championship from (Unlucky Ryk by one point)and Paul close behind,we had some rearly good close racing, great days racing, and a big thanks to Tim for his pit work, and all the drivers that took part ,and everyone that done the champoinship, bit sad about Snetterton not doing the rounds,it was a interclub championship ???,but it was close right to the end thats what makes a championship, well done to everyone that took part:clap:

That was a really enjoyable days racing @ CMCC Thanks to everyone involved in running the meeting and series.
Congratulations to Peter for his nitro championship win and Trevor for his electric title.
There was some close racing action in both classes throughout the day. Leon was back on top form and looked to be enjoying his qualifying tussle against Matt and the finals were great to watch to - Mr Syrett dusting off the cobwebs and putting in a great run in the first A final and Julian and Trevor battling it out in the second final - good racing!
The nitro qualifiers & finals were really close - I enjoyed my runs against Craig and Pete in the qualifiers. Well done to Paul on the win in the final and to Pete for securing the championship. I was a gutted to run into trouble in the second leg of the finals, but that didn't detract from a great days racing.
I'll get the results and final standings up on the website as soon as they come through.

Hi to all at Colchester, and congratulations to Peter and Trevor for winning their classes.
Now the apologies, 2 years ago I thought it would be a great idea to get a winter series going involving the 3 "local" clubs in East Anglia. Thanks to all of you the first year was a success. So 2008/9 winter series should have been just as good. But during 2008 as most of you will know my grandson was diagnosed with leukaemia and I asked Paul if he could run the 2008/9 series as I really didn't know what each week/weekend was going to bring.
My wife and I have spent a large proportion of the weekends this last year either in New Milton, Whitstable, or Canterbury helping out my oldest son and his wife. Tris and I have actually only raced 3 times this year twice at Snett and once at Colchester (where I have to say the cold got the better of me and Tris and we left early). I was also in attendance at the 200mm National at Snett. a couple of weeks ago.
This last weekend we were back in Canterbury again, but I was proposing to take my wife down on the Thursday and return late Saturday night so Tris and I could come down on Sunday, then travel back Sunday night to Canterbury late to finish off the Easter break. But it didn't quite work that way and I was unable to travel back Saturday night and in fact did not come back until today.
All I can say is sorry guys. As for the others from Snett. I cannot answer for them. It's all gone wrong at the wrong times.
My year as far as racing goes this year is mapped out around Snett. trying to get to 6 Nationals and doing whatever my wife and I can do to help Indie and his Mum and Dad. At the moment Indie is much better than he has been of late and things are looking good. He's really looking forward to coming to the meeting at the end of May.
Again my apologies for not helping to make the series an "interclub" one and the lack of support from other Snett. drivers. Maybe "we" can sort something out for next winter or maybe summer 2010.
Hope to see some of you at the Nat. and also at the end of May.

No apologies needed Jon,we realise some things are more important than RC.And glad to hear the little fella is feeling better at the mo.
It is a shame that those from the other areas didnt seem to want to travel ?(Trevor being the exception )
However all the CMCC boys did enjoy their days out.
For 2009/10 Numbnuts i think we'll sort the dates out around the few dates when our track is unavailable, that way it gives our boys a day out when there wouldnt be racing at ours anyway.

What i said was not aimed at you Or Trish,we know how it is at clubs, and it is a problem getting numbers at a club in the current climate, see you at the nationals.
