Are Shimizu good for wet-weather tyres (not that I'm probably going to run in the wet!?)

Pit Shimizu full wets are 'The' wet weather tyres,however they are discontinued so are like rocking horse poo.
They do still produce 'intermediates' but they're not quite as good.
