I know I am behind the times BUT i got an SPX for my birthday Just installed it Great But it does not seem that FAST I cant see the 2nd gear effect as such ?????????

What was your origanal 10.5 ratios with old esc befor the SPX went in , Just so i have got a reference point .....

I Run 4.2 on my Matrix I tried 4.8 on the SPX droping 5 teeth on the pinion from where i would normaly run , It was quick but no quicker than the Matrix !!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP Please .............. do i need to go even further , People at the STCC were running 7 to 7.5

you need to drop the gearing a lot more than that!

The idea behind the SPX is that it advances the timming no the motor using the software in the controller. Therefore you have to allow it the rev more as it can in effect advance the timming to affinity.

Around costal i ran 6.3-6.6 with 10.5

With the 6.5 in i ran 10 dead and it was still uncontrollable !
