Hi All
A bit of a nightmare Race day,for most of us, a shame for Ryk he would have been second,he got shunted in the final after 3 laps Ryk's race over,he quallied 2nd in the A final,Ash was on pole in the B final, well done Ash ,Toby 5,i think Tim was 6 or 7,I was 4th B after big balls up by brca after removing my fastest qually, for infringment on my rear wing, which was legal after looking at the rule book, but no one looked at that, but no good for me i was out of the A,and i would have been in it( NOT VERY HAPPY,IT SEEM'S THERE ARE SOME RULES FOR SOME PEOPLE,AND SOME FOR OTHERS,SOME GET WARNING,S AND SOME THEY JUST EXCLUDE,FUNNY THAT,BUT NOT FOR ME,GETTING A LITTLE BIT PS//OF WITH MODEL CAR RACING AT THE MOMENT.still there you go.
Pete.
Mr.B

Hi all
Thanks Paul and Tim for your comments,i have been intouch with the 1/10 chairman (Uncle Bob) with my complaint about what went on.
And he sent me a very apologetic email, and confirmed that i was right, and a shame that no one had talked to him or a higher officer at the meeting, and said he will be looking into that,as had he had know he would have reversed that decision, but nothing could be done now as the meeting is over, and no one had any time to do anthing much and that's how busy this meeting was,and he was very sorry for what happend, this meeting was manic,we had 2 minutes between rounds that included the warm up,and top up, if you can call it that, you never got any heat into the harder tyres.I very much appreciated his concern and promp reply.
BigD

youve been in the game longer than we all have pete and i can only relay it to golf, some months you play well next month you play like you only just started.

and you always thank the big man upstairs when the ball hits the tree and bounces back into the fairway rather the out of bound

and curse when the ball lands in a rabbit burrow

Hi all I'm back (stop that groaning at the back) it appears our forum does not like Firefox any more or at least not on my puter, went to IE and it all works. That is after reregistering in a different name which was OK but would still not let log on.
Anyway the Aldershot meeting was run on a very tight timetable because of the time they are aloud to use the track. The racing started at 10am with a round of 10min practise heats this took up 1hr I think a lot of people including me felt this could have been 5min practise rather than 10mins. Then the qualis started with 5min race with 2min in between each heat, this ment that buy the time the previous heat had finished there final laps you where lucky if you had 1min 30sec warm up before your race started, it did make for a very rushed day racing one heat marshalling the next then pitting for one of the others did not leave a lot of time to sort out your car. Still the sun shone I meet some old buddies and had a good weekend away with her in doors (had to take her cus I didnt want to kiss her goodbye) Joking Joking

Thanks Paul & Tim,
That was a hectic weekend -  Due to time restrictions and noise restrictions we only had 3 rounds of qualifying instead of 4, with not enough time to warm tyres or engines up and we had to be finished early. So the weekend was more stressful and less enjoyable than normal. We didn't even have time for a cuppa in between the qualifying rounds - Roll on Halifax!

CMCC driver of the day has to go to Ash for setting pole in the B on his first national round, car and driver looked good all day (once he sorted his rear diff out) My final was a short affair - 2 and a half laps - a small nudge on the side of my car on lap 3 managed to dislodge the 2 speed e-clip and leave the car with no drive and sat in the middle of the track. Tim, Pete and Tobie tried to find all the parts to get me back up and running, but time ticked past and I was out of the race.

Just a side note to Pete - you had the pace on Saturday, it was just that lady-luck didn't shine on you on Sunday. I'm sure you'll be back in the A for Halifax!
