Novice racingHi all,
I'm looking to get into some club IC on-road racing, but am a complete novice to the whole experiance!!
I do practise at snetterton most times, but would like to get some action with a few more cars on the track.
Could you people tell me the best time for me to turn up,
and whether any membership is required to race...etc

Hello Dan,
Glad you're interested in trying out some racing - it really is the best part of the hobby. I would suggest turning up on a Wednesday evening - just introduce yourself to the guys down there - they can answer any questions you might have and give you some sound advice.
I'm not sure exactly how it stands at the moment with membership/BRCA insurance before you race, but i'm sure one of the committee members will be on here and can let you know.
I'll be going to this Wednesday evening practice (10th) as long as the weather is ok, so pop along for a chat.

Cheers mate, I do have BRCA membership if that helps,
as I know about all of the health and saftey insurance you have to have nowadays!
I can't make it tomorrow i'm afraid, but in the next couple of weeks
I am looking to get travelling and arrive on a Wednesday evening.
Look forward to laying down the rubber...

Hi Dan,and welcome.
If your a BRCA member then your fine to race with us.If you then decide to race with us regularly then you may like to join the club.(£20 p.a.)
Basically Wednesday evenings are for a bit of practice and set-up.
Then we race on most Sundays.
As for your ability,all are welcome.We all started once upon a time so know its a bit daunting but you'll soon get into the groove.
We'll look forward to seeing you and keep an eye on here for details or date changes.
