Hi ozzy Great to hear you are going to come along to CMCC , they are a Friendly bunch of people , I have raced Electric for 9 years or so and took the plunge into a Nitro last month and raced it for the first time at Colchester last weekend it was great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you do go for the first time racing on a track is a lot harder than Car Park bashing , So don't expect to be great straight away its all about having FUN at the end of the day , Everyone wants to win BUT you need to have FUN and Enjoy it .........
When are you going down for your first meeting ?
There is loads of info to take in all over the net about racing and car setup which it does pay to know a little about befor you go there is loads of info on my Forum which is free to join @ www.cuttingedgeracing.myfreeforum.org
click on the forum button and join its free .............
I would also suggest reading the rules befor you buy anymore kit , I am sure the Race Director at Colchester will let you run your car although the Engine is a Bit on the Large Side I Belive ( But I am new to this Nitro stuff to and could be wrong on that )
Is your Car the TSN-4Plus ? If it is I was going to get one of those and they look quite good 3 Belt drive system like on the Top Spec cars ....
Good Luck and Happy Racing

Hi Ozzy, and welcome to our forum/club.
Yes you can just bring your forms along with you when yo come down to the track.Even if you dont intend on racing first time out, bring your car along with you and you can run it round the track in between races and give you a feel for it.
It sounds like your engine is a .18 and generally we run .12's but we make special allowances for new members and you would be able to use it.
Look forward to seeing you soon.

Most of the .12's that we run will beat a .18.
Basically the manufacturers put slighlty larger, but less 'tuned',engines in their entry level cars so that newcomers get quicker cars straight out of the box.
Generally the engines we use are meant to race and the ones fitted to rtr cars are meant to be able to take a bit more abuse.
I would suggest you bring your current car along and get a feel for it before spending on new equipment. Also you can see what all the other guys are running and pick their brains.
