Question:-
I would like to make up some longer leads(using the Core UDC-20 Charger), which isn't a problem, what is, is that the Lipo battery has a "Balance Connector" hole, which the short leads have connected to it, now this I cant make longer (or can you)?

So quesion is, how offen do you need to connect this wire up to the battery?, all the info says, it can be charged without it no problem, so what is it for then? balancing/maintance?.

Thanks for any advice
Daz

Hi Daz,maybe not how it should be but i have never used the balance charge facility.
Twice we have 'balanced' them using a trakpower balancer and they have been spot on.So i wouldn't worry about that too much.

When's your first outing then??????????????????
Paul.

Oh ok then lol, longer leads then it is.

Prob wednesday night, to try the car and hope it dont have any chassis tweek, as I've had to move a upper support to get the Lipo in, then I need to get a whloe load of weights lol

Other than that all fine, bar gearing, not sure what to run, saw a bit on here for a 10.5 motor ratio of 4.9, does that sound right?

If your going to be using profile 7 or 8 on the SPX then you need to be more like 5.7 or 5.8-1.
Dont forget we run to 1450gms.

See you Wednesday
Paul.

I'll start on a ratio of 5.57.

Lipo question now (sorry), how many runs i.e races do you do before charging up again? did I hear 2?.

Paul, if your about wednesday night would you have any club membership forms and BRCA forms?

Hi Daz,10.5 you'll use about 2400mah in 5 mins.
5.57 is a little low though Daz,i'd come down another pinion and make it more like 5.7.
Yes we have forms up the track and we'll get you sorted.
Paul.

daz

lipos seem to be more about voltage rather than mah.
so just check after 1 run to see what your voltage is.
dont want to go anywhere near 6 volts really.

i run 5.9 with my novak and it is fast enough, that is with the nosram spx equivalent
